School Prayer Shut Down in Oklahoma, Louisiana - this atheist group and the Christians they attack are clueless about the First Amendment. It does NOT separate church and state. It declares that the federal government cannot mandate a country wide religion. If I were the Superintendent of this school I would tell the atheist group that is they that must cease and desist because prayer in school IS exercising our God given rights protected under the Constitution. My best friends husband came to America at the age of 12. He could not speak English and had to sit out of school until he learned to speak English. It took him one year but he entered school the following year. This was over 50 years ago. But ENGLISH is the language spoken in this country.
