Tax Credits for school choice. My three kids were home-schooled. I yanked my oldest out of 2nd grade and told the principal she was "FIRED." We got no tax credits, and so, we still owned the public schools as if they were attending, only they weren't. We could get all the books (but, most were junk) and they could participate in ALL the activities; drama, band, sports, etc. So, if you home school, don't throw away the tax dollars you are paying under duress - it's YOUR SCHOOL. You can use it. Just do NOT let their teachers near your kids!!! Further, before pooh-poohing the idea of home education for financial reasons, take a hard look. Calculate the REAL cost of having one spouse in the workforce; car, fuel, clothing, meals, and the services you pay for to replace the spouse missing from home. Do this objectively, and you may find that one spouse in the work force is not earning much of a margin. Don't forget the hours parents spend evenings and weekends assisting with homework! Home schoolers get ALL the work done in 4-6 hrs that takes Pub Schooled kids 12+ hrs....not to mention travel time. Invest in your kids and the dividends will be amazing!!

Quotes on Stupidity: "“The mass of people are so stupid, so gullible, because they want to be misled. There’s no way to make them not want it. You have to work with the human race as it exists, with all of its flaws. Getting them to see reason is a fool’s errand.” — Neal Stephenson.

“The power of the one needs the stupidity of the other. The process at work here is not that particular human capacities, for instance, the intellect, suddenly atrophy or fail. Instead, it seems that under the overwhelming impact of rising power, humans are deprived of their inner independence, and, more or less consciously, give up establishing an autonomous position toward the emerging circumstances. The fact that the stupid person is often stubborn must not blind us to the fact that he is not independent. — Dietrich Bonhoeffer.

2 Thessalonians 2: 9-12 "The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness."
