STAR SPANGLED BANNER: As a former Navy SEAL, I state, not proudly, but only factually, that I'm a warrior.
Warriors are different from every other citizen. This is impossible to describe it to a civilian because they have absolutely no means of connection....no ability to understand. I know....I've been a misunderstood man my entire life.
Only a warrior knows what it is like to measure EVERY commitment in terms of life and death.
A warrior is a very rare thing in society, and those who are not brought up in moral homes often turn just as far toward bad as they have potential for good. But, those who have God implanted in their hearts, and excellent training are the greatest friends of those they love and the greatest enemies of those they oppose.
A warrior is never at ease in polite society. They cannot speak what is in their hearts or minds. They either live and die on the battlefield or live an existence of partial death amongst the rest of us. If they cannot battle the enemy, the warrior must battle himself in peacetime. If he is not facing the enemy, he cannot let his true self be seen. You would not be able to tolerate it.
To forge this nation, strong, brave, willing warriors (women, too) had to commit to give up every human comfort, live on the march, suffer the elements, press on through hunger and sickness, and fight with a zeal for victory that exceeds the love of personal life.
Spoiled citizens sit in comfy homes, drive smart cars, and work lush jobs ALL because warriors - who are too horrible to understand - loved this nation more than you do. A warrior will sacrifice his life for what is good. A civilian will only complain when things get uncomfortable.
And I thank God everyday for the warriors in this country. Although not as many as there once was I would still have a warrior by my side any day. For me, knowing you all of these years has been a blessing and an honor and your comment illustrates why.
You have been posting some great links, Karen. I don’t usually comment, but I usually share the info. Thanks for what you are doing. I know it takes a lot of time to read, sift, and sort it all before posting. I just want to say, Thanks!
You are most welcome and YES I sift through over 600 emails every day. I spend the day reading and watching videos and try to select what I think people need to know. Not sure I hit the target each day but I try. I now have over 5K subscribers so I am sure I don't make everyone happy every day but I try. I know people are very busy and don't have the time to sift through all of the garbage they throw at us each day and that is why I decided to share others information on Substack rather than do my own writing.
