Karen, I want to wish you a blessed holiday. Your work is so valuable to me. You share news from the states which I can't find anywhere, and living abroad for so many years, you shrink the distance.

May the next year provide each of us with the divine light, insight and wisdom to transcend the evil with the power of God's goodness.

Love from Thailand.

Depends on where in Thailand. Bangkok is the main hub of the West. Most everywhere else in different degrees, still follows a traditional Buddhist culture. I moved here in 1987 after I finished a degree at Harvard. I felt alienated, depressed and knew that I would never be able to make it. After coming here in 1984 and 85, I knew then that this is where I belong--I have been here ever since..

WOW that took a lot of courage. I love the culture. I am glad you have found where you belong and had the courage to make the move. 🌲

Merry Christmas Karen. Turn off the TV’s, radios, internet, cellphone and pretend it’s 1970 while you’re on break! Ignorance might actually be bliss, at least for a few days!
