I think a lot of folks are using cash. I know I am doing it and have for a while. We also closed our account with our bank and opened an account with a local credit union. Credit Unions are not controlled by the FDIC. They do provide deposit insurance but most local credit unions do not have huge account holders and your chance of being protected is better than at a large, corporate bank.
Me too! Now I am switching to silver money, even better than Fed Reserve cash money. I currently pay waitress tips, farmer's market, handyman,Hair cut, for whole chickens, etc. etc. with silver money. 1 oz rounds, and with pre 1965 silver coins, I put it in a sandwich baggie with an educational slip of paper. Everybody loves silver money, and it is starting to circulate!!! When circulating simply use the retail value for the silver money when equating it to cash money.
And TN is working on that very thing. Gold depository and gold/silver as legal tender. We already passed legislation to allow our state Treasurer to buy gold/silver
If they pull the CBDC stunt on us, the cash money will become worthless. If silver money is already circulating, that will still work! Circulate silver (and gold) now, don't just hoard it!
That is why I do not have Alexa. Eco or cameras in my home. My kids sent us a eco, it sat on the shelf.
