Homeschool resources are out there, but the fact of the matter is those that talk about homeschooling don't get around to the very basic points to start. Instead they drone on and on, talking about next to nothing. Some basic info to help people get started is needed. Such as:
1. A parent can design their own curriculum for elementary students. It can come from any source they want, although it should likely include some basic math, science, reading, language etc. Some additional choices for high school age students will need to be considered after research.
2. Content creators speaking about home school tend to constantly jabber around the subject. Be aware of that. It will be upsetting to many that go through hours and hours of video's promising info but get very little in the way of "what do I do, how do I do it and get started now!"
3. Some basic resources for curriculum ideas. (by the way, you can do homeschool without buying any books etc. That is probably until the high school years.
Thanks Joshua for sharing helpful information. We just need to now convince parents that public school is no longer about academic education and is actually dangerous. Freedom Project Academy is a great teacher led, classical on line school. I have a lot of old Saxon books in my library. Right now I pay to send my 2 great grandchildren to a private school vetted by me.....if they ever change the way they educate then I am prepared to step in.
